Orthodox Judaism is a Cult:

Let my people go

What’s your first thought when you see “Orthodox Judaism is a cult?” What does “cult” mean to you? Do you think cult members are mindless drones, and that calling someone a cult member is a personal insult? Or can intelligent people with vibrant personalities be under an extreme level of control?

As former members of Orthodox Judaism, we believe we were in a cult.

We created this website for other former members like ourselves. Like you, we were born into this group and we left it. Over the years, we have acquired a great deal of information in our attempt to understand what happened to us. This information has been useful to us, and we wish to make it available to others. This is the website we ourselves needed years ago.

If you are currently frum, you are welcome to look around. We understand you may disagree, but don’t misunderstand our intentions. We did not create this site out of malice, but out of compassion and a deep understanding. We were frum once, too. Almost everyone we know and love is frum. We are saying this because we love them, and we wish they could see what is really happening.

One warning: This website is extremely direct about this topic, and if you are finding it difficult to tolerate emotionally, please step back and leave the website. We trust you to take care and be gentle with yourself.

See our Contact Us page for an opportunity to give us feedback. We want to hear your questions and opinions.
